How Our Programs Work
The Fellowship Center adheres to an abstinent-based method of rehabilitation from addiction. There are several ways men seeking recovery can engage with our program:
- Participating in our services as a non-resident (not living at TFC)
- Residing in our homes while participating in our services
- Living in one of our independent alcohol-and-drug-free housing units while attending our treatment and recovery program
Once accepted into the program, the participant receives a structured program of recovery designed to promote long-term sobriety. A varied action plan consisting of educational sessions, experiential learning, individual and group counseling, and community service and support is facilitated by trained, experienced credentialed professionals who specialize in the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction.
Counselors offer support and guidance to each resident so he can develop healthy living habits, change negative thought patterns and build positive social supports for his recovery.
The Fellowship Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation licensed and certified by the State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. TFC receives partial funding through the Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment block grant administered by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.
